Installation Guide
Achieve Flawless Results with Ease
The EzyBead System is designed to make corner finishing faster, stronger, and more precise. However, proper installation and handling are essential to ensure the best results and maintain the product’s warranty. Follow these guidelines to get the most out of your EzyBead System.
Key Installation Tips
To ensure durability and long-lasting results, always prime any exposed metal on the EzyBead before applying paint. This step is crucial for achieving a professional finish and protecting the bead from potential damage.
Do not spray solvents or watered-down paints directly onto EzyBead. These substances can compromise the integrity of the product and void your warranty.
Direct wet spraying onto unprimed metal can lead to poor adhesion and finish quality. Always ensure proper priming before any painting is done.
Never use solvents to clean EzyBead. Doing so may damage the product and affect its performance.
Installation in Brief
- Check that the wall is straight at the external or internal corner.
- Fill the specially designed EzyBead Hopper with base coat, (mix the base coat to a thin consistency) then feed the EzyBead through the hopper, simultaneously applying base coat evenly to both sides of the EzyBead.
- Place EzyBead into position and use the specially designed corner roller to roll in the EzyBead and squeeze out the excess plaster all in the one motion. Clean off any excess plaster with a trowel or stripper and leave to dry. This is the first coat.
- When first coat is dry, lightly scrape if needed, then apply a second coat of base coat.
- When second coat is dry, lightly scrape if needed so that it is smooth and has no protruding lumps ready for the final or Top coat.
- Apply the finishing coat compound to leave a smooth finish, when dry it is ready for sanding
